Website Development Process

At Merkel Marketing we emphasize the importance of working closely with our clients to make sure we understand what they want and what they expect from their website.

1. Meet with client to understand their business, plans and goals; get to know them and let them get to know us.
2. Prepare proposal detailing project objectives, scope, workflow and cost.
3. Iron out details with the client, (e.g., size, structure, content). Proposal becomes the basis of a contract agreement. We begin as soon as the contract is executed.
4. Help client sign up for web host service, or gain access to existing host.
5. Draft a static JPEG mock-up of the website’s layout & appearance. Client gets to review and request revisions.
6. Build a working HTML prototype web page. Again, client gets to review and request revisions.
7. Once prototype has been accepted, finish coding and integrating the balance of the website.
8. Final approval and we 'go live'. After launch, the project is complete.
9. Merkel Marketing remains available on an as-needed hourly-basis.
